ABSOLUTION N0. 31 - 1967
A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts
for the following items or materials:
20,000 gallons (more or less) of Regular Gasoline
25,000 gallons (more or less) of Ethyl Gasoline
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items
and materials, together with a proposal for the method of
purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to the
Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby approved
and adopted as the plans and specifications, and the method
of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with
respect to the acquisition of said items and materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above
shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and opened
by the City of Fridley on the 6th day of March, 1967. The
City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise for the
purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid proposals
under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the City
of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that
shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by
reference. Said notice shall be published at least twice
in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 20TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1967 BY THE
CITY COUNCIL.

EXHIBIT "B"
BID NOTICE - GASOLINE
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota will accept bids on
Gasoline on the 6th day of March, 1967 until 12:00 o'clock noon on said
date at the City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley, Minnesota
55421 (Tel: 560- 3450). All bids must meet the minimum requirements of
the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can result in
disqualification of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash
or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which check, cash
or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a
contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be
in the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to reject
any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as
time of delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the bidder,
past performance of similar types of items or materials, availability of
products and other similar factors that it may determine to be in the
best interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in
the office of the City Engineer.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly marked on the
outside with "GASOLINE BID ",
