Yn the past 4 years the �ity has been improving che P& H streets at about 1 3/4 miles per y2ar by petiL-ion by the people. I£ the same rate is main^ Eained, a11 the streets oaould be improved in 10 years. He explained that if street,s are done in a block-type area, a be�ter price could be achi�ved, Ii the overall plan is known ahead ot time, ic would also be possable to let bids in the winter, when probably the bid prices would be lower, also ii it was knawn ahead o� time, not as much money would be spent on maintenance, ii the street is to 7�e imprnved within the next year. ri'here would L-hen ne the advantage oL being a�le to tell the peaple when they call, when their street would be improved.
