RESOLUTION NO. 156 -1968
A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid
contracts for the following items or materials:
LIQUID CHLORINE
HYDROFLUOSILT_CIC (25% ACID)
AMMONIUM SULPHATE
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described
items and materials, together with a proposal for the
method of purchase and the payment thereof have been
presented to the Council by the City Manager and the
same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and
specifications, and the method of acquisition and pay-
ment to be required by the City with respect to the
acquisition of said items and materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described
above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received
and opened by the City of Fridley on the 29th day of
October 1968. The City Manager is directed and author-
ized to advertise for the purchase of said items and
materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as pro-
vided by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley,
the notice to be substantially in form as that shown
by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by
reference. Said notice shall be published at least
twice in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 7TH DAY OF OCTOBER a
1968, BY THE CITY COUNCIL.

BID NOTICE
for
LL-UID CHLORINE
HYDROFLUOSILICIC (25% ACID)
and
AMMONIUM SULPHATE
EXHIBIT "A"
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota, will accept bids
on Liquid Chlorine, Hydrofluosilicic (25% Acid) and Ammonium Sul-
phate on the 29th day of October 1968, until 12:00 o'clock Noon on
said date at the City Hall, 6431 University Avenue N.E., Fridley,
Minnesota 55421 (Tel: 560- 3450). All bids must meet the minimum
requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this
section can result in disqualification of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check,
Cash or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid, which
check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses
to enter into a Contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to
be in the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to
reject any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities
in any bid.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as
time of delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the
bidder, past performance of similar types of items or materials,
availability of products and other similar factors that it may deter-
mine to be in the best interest of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined
in the offices of the City Engineer and Director of Public Works.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly marked on
the outside with "LIQUID CHLORINE, HYDROFLUOSILICIC AND AMMONIUM
$ULPHATE BID ".
