out that there axe trees ebown on the plans now. Councilman Harris aaid that
he had conversed with eome o! the Building Boazd membeas and it was their
feeling that the lonq expanse should be broken up somehow. He pointed out
th+�t it is 250' lonq. Mr. Donaldson said that they tnade several suqgestions
at the Bpildinq Board Meetinq, but they were all turned down. One of the
ilepresenietives said ihat they had built 13 nuzsing hanes throughout the
country and they felt that through the use of vertical lines, the Zong
horizontal Iook is minimized. He said that on the plan it is hard to
visualize hav the completed structure would look. He said that thcy had
siready obtained approval from the Board of Health on their plans and this �
takes about six months and bide have been taken oa the buiidinq, sa to alter
the basic conatruction of the nursing home would mean they would have to
stazt ail over again. He eald that the homes they have built throuqhout
the atate have been quality homes. Through the proper uae of shrubery and
tha wlndow treatment, the horizontal look is minimized without a structural
change. Councilman Harris asked about the poasibility of breaking up the
lonq expanse o# roof line.
