RESOLUTION NO, 178 -1969
A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts
for the following item, materials, and.work:
TREE AND DEBRIS RWTOVED FROM PARKS
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items
and materials, together with a proposal for the method of
purchase and the payment thereof have been presented to
the Council by the City Manager and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and
the method of acquisition and payment to be required by
the City with respect to the acquisition of said items
and materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described
above shall be effected by sealed bids to be received and
opened by the City of Fridley on the 20th day of October
1969. The City Manager is directed and authorized to advertise
for the purchase of said items and materials by sealed bid
proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter
of the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in
.form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part of by reference. Said notice shall be pub-
lished at least twice in the official newspaper of the
City of Fridley.

Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota, at the Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue
Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota 55421 (Tel. 560 -3450) on the 20th day of
October, 1969 at 11:30'A.1,1, for the furnishing of work and material for
TREE AND DEBRIS REMOVED FROM PARKS,
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash
or Bid Bond and Made payable *,.ithout conditions to the City of Fridley,
PYinnesota, in an amount of not less tha-n five percent (55a) of i.2 bid,
whist: check, Cash or bond shall be forfeited :.f biClder nez=sh-cts or refuses
to enter into Contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City, reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in
the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any
and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid r =-
ceived without explanation.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as ii.me
o£ delivery or performance, experience, responsibility cf the bidder, S:
performance of similar types of items or materials, aJ- ilability of
and other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best ir_terest
of the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examin- -1 i.'1 the
office of the City Engineer - Director of Planning, or copies may be
obtained from his office.
