RESOLUTION NO. 27-1969
' RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: STORM SEWER, SANITARY
SEWER AND WATER, PROJECT. NO. 90
WHEREAS, pursuant to a Resolution #168 -1968 of the City Council,
adopted on October 21, 1968, Comstock and Davis, Incorporated, Consulting
Engineers, has prepared plans and specifications for some of the improve-
ments proposed by Resolution #143 -1968 and has presented such plans and
specifications to the Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the following improvements heretofore proposed by the
Council Resolution #143 -1968 are hereby ordered to be ef-
fected and completed as soon as reasonably possible, to -wit:
Watermain, sanitary sewer, laterals and service connection,
storm sewer and appurtenances serving the following area:
The property along the northerly street abutting on
Interstate #694 and East River Road referred to as
Track "J" of the Industrial Park.
' That the work involved in such improvement as listed above
shall hereafter be designated as STORM SEWER, SANITARY
SEWER AND WATER PROJECT NO. 90.
2. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which are attached
hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
3. The work to be performed under Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer
and Water Project No. 90 shall be performed under one contract.
The City Manager shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
In the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for three weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify the work
to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at 12:00
o'clock (noon) on 17th day of March, 1969 in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
City Clerk, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified check
payable to the City for five per cent (S %) of the amount of such a bid. That
the advertisement for bids for Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer and Water Project
No. 90 shall be substantially in form as that noted in Exhibit "B" attached
hereto for reference and made a part hereof.
ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF FRIDLEY, THIS 17TH DAY OF FEBRUARY , 1969.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of
Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager,
on the 17th day of March, 1969 at 12:00 Noon, and will be considered
by the City Council of the City of Fridley at a Regular Council
Meeting at 8:00 P.M. on the 17th day of March, 1969, for the furnishing
of work and materials for the installation of Sanitary Sewer, Water
and Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 90.
The Project consists of the following:
3,800 L.F. 12" to 6" Watermain with Related Appurtenances
2,500 L.F. 6" to 10" Sanitary Sewer with Manholes & Related
Appertenances. 1 Each Lift Station
100 L.F. 6" Forcemain and Related Appurtenances
2,700 L.F. 12" to 54" Storm Sewer with Manholes, Catch Basins &
Related Appurtenances.
All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City
of Fridley, Minnesota, by Comstock and Davis, Inc., Consulting
Engineers, 1446 County Road "J ", Minneapolis, Minnesota 55432,
Telephone: 784 -9346.
Plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the City
Manager and copies may be obtained for the Contractor's individual
use by applying to the Engineers and depositing with the Engineers
$30.00 for each set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder
submitting a bonafide bid upon return of the documents in good con-
dition within ten (10) days from the date of opening bids, and to
non - bidders upon return of the documents in good condition prior to
the bid opening.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and
accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank
in the State of Minnesota), or a bidder's bond and made payable with-
out condition to the City of Fridley, Minnesota in an amount of not
less than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
