A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, as follows:.
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for
the following items or materials:
PACKAGE PROPERTY AND CASUALITY INSURANCE
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items and
materials, together with a proposal for the method of .purchase and the
payment thereof have been presented to the Council by the City
Manager and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and
specifications, and the method of acquisition and payment to be
required by the City with respect to the acquisition of said items and
materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be
effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of
Fridley on the 14th day of December, 1970. The Acting City Manager
is directed and authorized to advertise for the purchase of said
items and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided
by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice to be sub-
stantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part of by reference.. Said notice shall be published at least
twice in the official newspaper of the City of Fridley.

BID NOTICE
for
PACKAGE PROPERTY AND CASUALITY INSURANCE
EXHIBIT "A"
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota will accept sealed bids
for Package Property and Casuality Insurance. Such quotations will be
received by the City Manager's Office no later than December 14, 1970
until 1:30 P.M. on the said date at the Fridley City Hall, 6431 University
Avenue Northeast, Fridley, Minnesota; Telephone 560-3450, for the term of
January 1, 1971 to January 1, 1972. The City reserves the right to reject
any quotations and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the
bidding.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified_ check, cashier's check, cash,
or bid bond and made payable without conditions to the City of Fridley,
Minnesota., in an amount of not less than five percent.(5%).of the bid,
Which check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses
to enter into contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept.the bid which is determined to be
in the best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to reject
any and all bids and waive any informalities or technicalities in any bid
received without explanation.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the
office of the Purchasing Agent, or copies may be obtained from this office.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly marked on the
outside with "PACKAGE PROPERTY AND CASUALITY INSURANCE BID ".
