� THE MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL N1E�TING OF JUNE 28, 1972
The Special Meeting of the Fridley City Council was convened at 4 00 P.M.,
June 28, 1972
ROLL CALL.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Otter, Liebl, Mittelstadt, Bxeider (COUncilman Breider
participated in the Meeting via speaker phone)
MEMBERS ABSENT: Nane
Al1 Members present agreed to waive the notice of the special meeting.
PROGRE55 ON NEGOTIATIONS WITH POLICE
The City Council directed the City Administration to offer to settle the
1972 contract on the same conditions as previously o£fered except for a change
in the language relating to pensions. The following paragraph is to be added
relating to pensions:
"Employee5 agree that pensions axe a neqotiable item for the 1973
� contract. Employees agree they will support special legislation
which will have the ef£ect of reducing the employers share of the
cost of financing the Fridley Police Pension Association beneflt plan
to 21% of base salary."
CHARTER COMMISSION:
The City Attorney was directed to prepare a resolution for consa.deration at
the July lOth Council Meeting requesting the District Court to reactivate
and appoint members to the Charter Commission.
CLOSING OF CITY HALL ON JULY 3, 1972:
MOTION by Councilman Mittelstadt, seconded by Councilman Utter, that the
City Hall be closed on Monday, July 3, 1972. IIpon a voice vote, all voting
aye, Mayor Liebl declared the motion carried unanimously.
