A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, The City of Fridley has a tanker fire truck that is
no longer suitable for city purposes, and is surplus to the needs
of the City
WHEREAS, the following item should be disposed of at the best
available price obtainable
1946 GMC, 1200 gallon tanker fire truck complete
with Gorman Rupp portable pump, electric re -wind
hose reel with 1" hose, nozzle, red lights and
siren.
The sale of said item as described above shall be effected by
sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley on
the 17th day of October 1972. The City Manager is directed and
authorized to advertise the sale of said truck by sealed bid
proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of the
City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that
shown in Exhibit 'A' attached hereto and made a part of by
reference. Said notice shall be published at least twice in the
official newspaper of the City of Fridley.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY
THIS 21ST DAY OF AUGUST 1972.

SALE NOTICE
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota has
declared as surplus, one (1) Fire Truck Tanker, 1946 GMC
truck, 1200 gallon tank complete with Gorman Rupp portable
pump, electric re -wind hose reel with 1" hose, nozzle, red
lights, siren and two (2) 10 foot long 2y" hard suction hose
and enclosed compartments.
Sealed purchase proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m.
on the 17th day of October 1972.
All proposals are to be addressed to Gerald'R. Davis, City
Manager, City of Fridley, 6431 University Ave.N.E., Fridley
Minnesota, 55432.
All envelopes must be painly marked on the outside "Fire
Truck Sale ".
