RESOLUTION NO. 74 - 1975
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ADVERTISING
FOR BIDS: STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1975 -IOA (SEALCOATING)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fridley has established
a policy of Sealcoating the City streets on a regular basis,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has submitted a plan showing the streets
in need of Sealcoating, marked as Exhibit "A ".
HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the streets marked black on the attached map be seal -
coated, and the work involved in said improvement shall
hereafter be designated as:
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1975 -10A
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer
for such improvement and each of them, pursuant to the Council
action heretofore, a copy of which plans and specifications
are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved
and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
ST. 1975 -10A shall be performed under one contract.
The City Engineer shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertise-
ment shall be published for two (2) weeks (at least 10 days), and shall
specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened at
11:30 A. M. on Monday, the 16th day of June, 1975 in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
w ith the City Engineer and accompanied by a cash deposit,
bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5%)
of the amount of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ST. 1975 -10A shall be substantially in form as that
noted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 2ND
DAY OF JUNE, 1975.
