RESOLUTION NO. 15 -1976
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #119
WHEREAS, Resolution #195 -1975 set the date for hearing on the improve-
ments, as specifically noted in the Notice of Hearing attached thereto for
reference as Exhibit "A "; and
WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed
with the making of the improvements (as noted in said notice) were given
ten (10) days notice by mail and published notice of the Council hearing
through two (2) weekly publications of the required notice, and the hearing
was held and the property owners heard thereon at the hearing, as noted in said
notice; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #209 -1975 adopted by the City Council of the City
of Fridley ordered this improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka, County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements prop sed by Council Resolution
#195 -1975 are hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon
as reasonably possible, to -wit:
Water mains, sanitary sewer, laterals and service connections, and
storm sewer and appurtenances; to serve the following properties:
Lots 31 -35, Revised Auditor's Subdivision No. 77 (which includes the
proposed Henriksen Plat) and Lot 3, Block 1, Mississippi View Addition
That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall
hereafter be designated as:
WATER, SANITARY SEWER & STORM SEVIER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #119
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the Public Works Director
for such improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council
resolutions heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifi,
cations are hereto attached and made a part hereof, are hereby
approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
3. The work to be performed under WATER, SANITARY SEWER & STORM SEWER
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #,119 shall be performed under one contract.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official newspaper advertisement for bids upon the making
of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The adver-
tisement shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days) and shall
specify the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and con-
sidered at 11:30 A.M. on the 12th day of March, 1976 in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with the Public Works Director, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond,
or certified check payable to the City for five percent (5%) of the amount
of such bid. That the advertisement for bids for Water, Sanitary Sewer and
Storm Sewer Project #119 shall be substantially in form as that noted in
Exhibit "B" attached hereto for reference and made a part hereof.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 9TH DAY
OF FEBRUARY, 1976.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received and publicly opened by the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota, at the office of the City Manager, on the 121th day of
March, 1976 at 11:30 a.m. for the furnishing of work and materials for the
installation of Water, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Improvement Project #119.
The project consists of the following:

R.C.P. with

All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared for the City of Fridley,
Minnesota by the Public Works Director, 6431 University Avenue N. E. Fridley,
Minnesota 55432, Telephone 571 -3450.
Plans and Specifications may be examined at the office of the Public Works
Director, and copies may be obtained for the contractor's individual use by
applying to the engineers and depositing with the engineers $20.00 for each
set. The deposit will be refunded to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid
upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days from the date
of opening bids, and to non - bidders upon return of the documents in good
condition, prior to the bid opening.
Bids must be made on the basis of cash payment for the work, and accompanied by
a cash deposit, certified check (on a responsible bank in the State of Minnesota),
or a bidder's bond and made payable without condition to the City of Fridley,
Minnesota in an amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive
any informalities in any bids received without explanation.
' No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
