RESOLUTION NO. 33 - 1976
A RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - REMOVAL OF TREES AND STUMPS
ON PRIVATE AND PUBLIC PROPERTY DURING THE 1976 SEASON
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid
contracts for the following service and materials:
REMOVAL OF TREES AND STUMPS ON PRIVATE AND PUBLIC
PROPERTY DURING THE 1976 SEASON
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described
service and materials, together with a proposal for the
method of purchase and the payment thereof have been
presented to the Council by the City Manager and the same
are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifi-
cations, and the method of acquisition and payment to be
required by the City with respect to the acquisition of
said service and materials.
3. The purchase of said service and materials as described
above shall be affected by sealed bids to be received
and opened by the City of Fridley on the 27thday of
April , 1976. The City Manager is directed and
authorized to advertise for the purchase of said service
and materials by sealed bid proposals under notice as provided
by law and the Charter of the City of Fridley, the notice
to be substantially in form as that shown by Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference. Said notice shall
be published at least twice in the official newspaper of the
City of Fridley.

CITY OF FRIDLEY
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
TREE REMOVAL
The City Council of the City of Fridley will open sealed bids
' at the City offices 6431 University Ave. N.E., Fridley, Minnesota,
55432, at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday the 27th day of April, 1976, at
which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the
removal of trees and stumps on private and public property, in
the City of Fridley for the period of May 1, 1976 through April 30,
1977.
Bids shall be directed to the City Manager's Officer securely sealed
and endorsed on the outside wrapper "Removal of trees and stumps
on provate and public property and date and time of opening of bids.
All bids shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check,
bid bond or certified check made payable to the order of the City
of Fridley for not less than $1,000.00.
The City Council reserves the right to retain the deposits of the
three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days
after the closing of the bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period
not to exceed thirty (30) days after and time set for the opening
of the bids.

Payment for work shall be by check.
Copies of the specifications and contract documents will be
furnished by the Purchasing Department on request to any prospective
bidder.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids,
to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further
reserves the right to award the contract to the best interests
of the City. Upon agreement by both parties, the removal contract
may be renewed at the same rates.
