RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 1980
A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND ORDERING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER
PROJECT #131
WHEREAS, The City Council received a petition from 100 percent of the
property owners whose property is liable to be assessed with the making of
these improvements (Industrial Blvd. and 51st Way) requesting the
construction of these improvements; and
WHEREAS, Resolution #86 -1980 adopted by the City Council of the City of
Fridley ordered all of these improvements.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka
County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the following improvements proposed by Council Resolutions are
hereby ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably
possible, to -wit:
Watermains and Services, Sanitary Sewer Services and Storm Sewer and
Related Appurtenances Located as follows:
Industrial Blvd From 52nd Way to 51st Way
51st Way From Industrial Blvd. to East River
Service Road
That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereafter
be designated as:
WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER PROJECT #131
2. The plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer for such
improvements and each of them, pursuant to the Council resolutions
heretofore adopted, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto
attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed
with the City Clerk.
The City Engineer shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted in the
official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify
the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at
2:00 p.m. on the 4th day of September, 1980 in the Council Chambers of the
City Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the City Engineer, and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or certified
check payable to the City for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid.
That the advertisement for bids for WATER, SANITARY SEWER AND STORM SEWER
PROJECT #131 shall be substantially in standard form
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 11TH DAY
OF AUGUST, 1980.
