MARCH 15, 1982
l DIALOGUE WITH TAXPAYERS FOR RESPONSIBLE RECREATION
March 8, 1982
1422 Trollhagen Drive
Fridley, MN 55421
Fridley City Council
Fridley, MN 55432
Since my letter to you dated February 22 Mayor Nee has suggested
that we meet with you on the evening of March 15. That is fine with
us. We would like to begin at 8:15 pm and adjourn at 10:00 pm .
We would like to utilize the following agenda:
1. Discuss the Council's proceedures for determining if a
referendum should be held.
2. Discuss the Council's proceedures for determining when a
referendum should be held.
3. Discuss the Council's proceedures for providing the voters
with pertinent information concerning a referendum that is
scheduled.
4. Discuss how the Council might proceed with indoor recreation
in light of the referendum results on February 16.
I suggest that Mr. Nee and I be co-chairmen. Per my previous
letter we prefer that the only Yes proponents of the February 16
referendum that participate in our discussion be those who are on
the Council. Todate the Yes proponents have been the only ones who
have had a dialogue with you.
We have disagreed with most of the Council's decisions relative to
the proposed indoor recreation center. Therefore we don't expect
anything from our meeting except a frank exchange of opinions which
may be beneficial to the citizens of Fridley.
