The Fridley City Cotu�cil Meeting of May 24, 1982 was called to order by
Mayor Nee at 10:40 p. m., after the meeting of the Board of Review.

ADOPTION OF AGESIDA;
M�PION by Coimci]man Barnette to adopt the age�da with the addition of the
follawi.ng items; (1) Receiving Bids on Repair of Well No. 3= and (2)
Receiving Bids for 1982 Concrete Pavement Joint and Crack Resealing
Project. Secondec3 by CouncilJran Hamernik. Upon a voice vote, all voting
aye, Mayor Nee declared the motion carried unanimously. '

Mrs. Morley, 1524 Osborne Road, appeared before the Council to protest the
assessm�t on their lot. She stated when they signed the petition for the
improv�nent, tl�ey were told they wouldn't have to pay the assessment until
the lot was built on or sold. She stated the first they heard of being
assessed was when they received notice of theiz house payment and it had
tripled.
Mr. Flora, Public Works Director, stated in 1980 when they were
constructing Brigadoon Place, all the property owners including the
Plorleys, signed a petition for the street and improvements on Brigadoon
Place. He stated the Morleys were planning to sell off part of the lot
which faces on Srigadoon. Mr. Flora stated the Morleys were notified
regarding the improvements but they didn't attend any of the hearings.
Mr. Qureshi, City Manager, stated they have a petition signed by the
Morelys requesting the improvenents, however, staff will have a report for
the Council at the Jw�e 7, 1982 meeting.
SPE�ING - RIVEAVIEW TERFACE•
Mr. Mike Aeller. 8245 Riverview Terrace. voiced his concern about the
speeding on Riverview Terrace.
Mr. Qureshi, City N;anager, asked if he was aware of the crime prevention
program in his neighhorhood and advised him to contact the Crime Prevention
Division in the Police DeFktztrnent regarding this matter.

M�TION by Councilman Hamernik to approve the licenses as submitted and as
on file in the License Clerk's Office. Seconded by Councilman Fitzp3taick.
Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Mayor Nee declared the motion carried
unanimously.

Seconded by Councilnan Barnette. Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Mayor
Nee declared the motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Flora, Public Works Director, stated the bids were opened for the
repair of Well No. 3� and it is recomnended the contract be awarded to the
low bidder, Reys Well Drilling.
MOTION by Councilman Barnette to accept the low bid of Reys Well Drilling
in the amount of $24,621 for the repair of Well No. 3. Seconded by
Councilman Hamernik. Upon a voice vote. all voting aye, Mayor Nee declared
the motion carried unaninnusly.

Sons, Inc, in the amount of $38,110. Seconded by Councilman Hamernik.
Upon a voice vote, all voting aye, Mayor Nee declared the motion carried
unanimously.
