UNDER THE NATIONAL STANDARDS MUST BE CONSIDERED OR
M4GTTED FOR SDGrE FAMILY USE OF PROPERTY UNDER LOCAL
ZONING REGULATIONS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota,
as follows:
WHEREAS, The City presently has zoning ordinances which regulate housing I
within specified residential zoning districts, and
WHEREAS, These ordinances have tended to control the health, safety, general
welfare integrity and environment of the surrounding area, and
WHEREAS, This control would be greatly reduced if the City were directed to
allow manufactured mobile homes to be placed on any property, and
WHEREAS, The residential neighborhood lot areas and home square footages could
be reduced below the existing and neighboring properties.
WHEREAS, It is desirable from the City public policy standpoint to regulate
and control the type of housing within a given area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of
Fridley, Minnesota, hereby goes on record as being opposed to Senate File No.
1677 and House File No. 1738.
