WHEREAS, Resolution No. 130 - 1980 adopted on the 15th day of December, 1980
by the City Council, accepted a State Grant and entered into a substate
Agreement for improvements to Moore Lake; and
WHEREAS, The first set of improvements under Phase I were completed in 1982
under Storm Sewer Project #132; and
WHEREAS, Plans and specifications have been prepared for this project by
Hickok and Associates, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, We are now in the process of purchasing the property required for
construction of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
Anoka County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That the improvements as shown in the plans and specifications are hereby
ordered to be effected and completed as soon as reasonably possible.
That the work involved in said improvements as listed above shall hereinafter
be designated as:
2. The plans and specifications prepared by Hickok and Associates, Inc. for
such improvements, a copy of which plans and specifications are hereto
attached and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall be filed with
the City Clerk.
The Public Works Director shall accordingly prepare and cause to be inserted
in the official newspaper advertisements for bids upon the making of such
inpravenents under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for three (3) weeks (at least 21 days), and shall specify
the work to be done and will state that bids will be opened and considered at
11:00 a.m. on the 12th day of October 1982 in the Council Chamber of the City
Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or
certified check payable to the City for five percent (5 %) of the amount of
such bid. That the advertisement for bids for MOORE LAKE STORM SEWER PROJECT
#137 shall be substantially in the standard form.
