RESOLUTION NO. 23 - 1983
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF PARKING RESTRICTIONS
ON 5TH STREET (MSAS 340) BETWEEN 63RD AVENUE AND
MISSISSIPPI STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley recently requested and received State Aid
designation for the above referenced street segment, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has authorized the improvement of 5th Street to
accommodate the projected traffic volume increase as a result of area
development, and
WHEREAS, traffic problems will be created without posting "No Parking" in
certain areas and restricting other areas to parallel parking only.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fridley
that the City is authorized to post "NO PARKING" signs on both sides of 5th
Street near the intersections of 63rd Avenue and Mississippi Street and the
remaining segment shall be restricted to parallel parking.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY THIS 28TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY, 1983.
