P4ayor Nee stated this Board of Re�lea mee�ng is helcl onoe a yoar arid is the
first step of an appeals process for �o�erty cwners �aho clo not agree with
the value placed on iheir property.
I�7r. Lean Nladsen, City Assessor, stateci the values were placed on tl�ese
�ro�erties as of January 2, 1985 for taxes p�yable �i-! 1986. I-le stated
values for previous years or taxes of previous years are rot to be
consiciered at this meettng.
Hir. Madsen stated persons wishing to be Yieard should have re�istered tl7eir
xntent with the Assessor's Offioe.
M�yor Nee stated all propert�.es in the City are inspected every four years
and adjustrnents in the values reflected in 'rhe fincu.ngs of 'rhese apprai.:als,
Ns. t+ladsen stated the City now uses a computer appraisal systern and all
�xoperties rrcalculated every year. He statec in the area tnat has been
physically inspected, any new construction rLems are added that have
occurred over the p3st four years.

values �il.aced on his property wlnch he fel t were too hi,h. He stated he
doesn't feel the Assessor would change his rnind and sinoe he c�es not agree
with these figures, he asked that his protest 1� reierrec to the County.
