RES 1986-108 - 00004971RESOLUTION NO. 108 - 1986 A14 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INCLUSION IN AN EMPLOYEE SEPARATION BENEFIT PLAN FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF FRIDLEY FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, upon separation from employment with the City of Fridley many employees encounter unforeseen expenses that can complicate the transition to other employment or to retirement status; and WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City of Fridley to recognize the service of long -term employees by assuring them of assistance through this transition period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley that effective January 1, 1986, any full -time, authorized employee of the Fridley Fire Department hired before that date who has been employed ten (10) years or more as a full -time authorized employee, upon separation from employment with ' the City of Fridley shall receive $200.00 for each full year of service up to a maximum of $4,000.00 for twenty (20) years or more of service. Time employed in a temporary, part -time, or paid -on -call capacity shall not be considered in the calculation of this separation benefit.
