INSWL "NO PARKING" SIGNS ON ODIINTY STATE AID HIGHWAY
(C.S.A.H.) ND. 1 (EAST RIVER ROAD) FKX MISSISSIPPI STREET
TO THE MOM FRIMEY CITY LIKITS
WHEREAS, the "County" has planned the improvement of C.S.A.H. #1 from
Mississippi Street to Locke Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, the "County ", will be expending C.S.A.H. funds on the improvement of
this Street, which includes concrete center medians extending from Mississippi
Street to the north Fridley city limits; and
WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both
sides of street approval of the proposed construction as a C.S.A.H street
project must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions; and
WHEREAS, the extent of these restrictions that would be necessary prerequisite
to the approval of this construction as a County State Aid project in the
"City ", has been determined.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley,
' that the Anoka County Highway Department is hereby requested to install "No
Parking" signs on East River Road (County State Aid Highway C.S.A.H. No. 1) on
both sides between Mississippi Street and the North Fridley City limits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council understands the "no parking"
issue is consistant with the provision of a bikeway /walkway system along East
River Road.
