WHEREAS, the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation has prepared a
preliminary layout for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway No. 393
renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 694 within the corporate limits of the City of
Fridley, from the West Corp. limits to the East Corp. limits; and seeks the
approval thereof; and
WHEREAS, said preliminary layouts are on file in the office of the Department
of Transportation, St. Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, and identified
as Layout No. 16, S.P. 0285 -16 (694_393) from T.H. 152 to T.H. 35W; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fridley sees the need for the following items to be
incorporated with this project:
1. There will be retention - detention ponding provided for storm water from
I -694 and Trunk Highway 47 and County Road I interchanges.
2. Storm water quality improvements are to be handled in the I-694 and Trunk
Highway 65 drainage system into Moore Lake.
3. A 20 inch watermain crossing under I -694 west of the railroad bridge
should be provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said preliminary layouts for the
improvement of said Trunk Highway within the corporate limits be and hereby
are approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City approved retention - detention ponding,
water quality improvements, and 20 inch watermain items be included with this
improvement project contract.
