RESOLUTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BID FOR EIGHT ELECTRONIC
WARNING SIRENS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley as follows:
1. That it is in the interest of the City to award bid contracts for the
following items or materials.
EIGHT ELECTRONIC WARNING SIRENS
2. A copy of the specifications for the above described items and materials,
together with a proposal for the method of purchase and the payment
thereof have been presented to the Council by the City Manager and the
same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications, and
the method of acquisition and payment to be required by the City with
respect to the acquisition of said items and materials.
3. The purchase of said items and materials as described above shall be
effected by sealed bids to be received and opened by the City of Fridley
on February 29th, 1988 at 1:00 p.m. The City Manager is directed and
authorized to advertise for the purchase of said items and materials by
' sealed bid proposals under notice as provided by law and the Charter of
the City of Fridley, the notice to be substantially in form as that shown
by Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part of by reference. Said
notice shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City of
Fridley.

BID NOTICE
FOR
EIGHT ELECTRONIC WARNING SIRENS
EXHIBIT "A"
The City Council of the City of Fridley, Minnesota will accept sealed bids for
eight electronic warning sirens on the 29th of February, 1988 until 1:00 p.m.
on said date at the Fridley City Hall, 6431 University Avenue NE, Fridley,
Minnesota 55432 (telephone: 571- 3450). All bids must meet the minimum
requirements of the specifications. Failure to comply with this section can
result in disqualification of the bid.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Cash or
Bid Bond and made payable without conditions to the City of Fridley,
Minnesota, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, which
check, cash or bond shall be forfeited if bidder neglects or refuses to enter
into contract, after his bid has been accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept the bid which is determined to be in the
best interests of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all
bids and waive any formalities or technicalities in any bid received without
explanation.
The City Council also reserves the right to consider such factors as time of
delivery or performance, experience, responsibility of the bidder, past
performance, of similar types of items or materials, availability of products
or other similar factors that it may determine to be in the best interests of
the City.
Copies of the specifications and general conditions may be examined in the
office of the Purchasing Agent, or copies may be obtained from his office.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and plainly marked on the
outside with Electronic Warning Siren Bid.
