RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF
FRIDLEY AND RECIPIENTS OF 1988 FEDERAL COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR HUMAN SERVICES
ORGANIZATIONS
WHEREAS, 1988 Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) monies have
been made available to the City of Fridley; and
WHEREAS, Anoka County Officials administering the CDBG funds require that the
City enter into a contract with each provider of services; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 2, 1988 the Fridley Human Resources Commission
recommended 1988 CDBG funding to human service organizations as listed below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fridley
authorize the Mayor and the City Manager to execute agreements between the
City of Fridley and the following organizations for the provision of human
services in accordance with Federal CDBG regulations:

Southern Anoka Community Assistance $5,000 Food and meat purchases and
small car repairs
Church of St. William (Food Shelf) 1,000 Direct food purchases
North Suburban Center for the Arts 1,200 Art classes at the Fridley
Senior Center
ACCAP (Senior Outreach Worker) 7,093 Funding of Senior Outreach
Worker
The Alexandra House 3,500 Cost of room and board for
those ineligible for AFDC
North Suburban Consumer Advocates 2,100 Update handicapped access
for the Handicapped guide
A.R.C. (Toy Lending Library) 1,000 Purchase of adaptive toys
Central Center for Family Resources 4,505 Counseling services
Family Life Medical Health Center 3,000 Counseling services
North Suburban Counseling Center 3,000 Counseling services
