RESOLUTION DESIGNATING TIME AND NUMBER OF
COUNCIL MEETINGS FOR 2008
WHEREAS, Section 3.01 of the Charter of the City of Fridley requires that the City Council meet
at a fixed time not less than once each month; and
WHEREAS, Section 3.01 of the Charter of the City of Fridley requires that the Council shall meet
at such times as may be prescribed by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council to comply with the open meeting provisions contained
in Minnesota Statutes 471.705 as interpreted by the courts;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fridley that:
1. The City Council will hold regular meetings in the Council Chambers of the Fridley
Municipal Center, commencing at 7:30 p.m. on the following Mondays in 2008:
January 7, January 28, February 11, February 25, March 10, March 24,
April 14, April 28, May 5, May 19, June 9, June 23, July 14, July 28,
August 11, August 25, September 15, September 29, October 13,
October 27, November 10, November 17, December 8 and December 15.
2. The City Council will hold conference meetings at the Fridley Municipal Center, at which
time matters are discussed but no formal action taken, commencing at 7:00 p.m. on the
following Mondays in 2008:
April 21, May 12 and August 18.
3. The City Council will hold budget work sessions at the Fridley Municipal Center
commending at 6:00 p.m. on the following Mondays in 2008:
June 16 and October 20.
4. On the dates of regular Council meetings, City Council information sessions will be held in
the Fridley Municipal Center at 7:00 p.m. and following adjournment of each regular
meeting.
