Demolition and construction activities shall be governed by requirements of 2007 MSFC C�apter 14, Fire SafetyDuring Demolition and Construction, and NFPA Standard 241 (2000), Standard for Safeguarding Construction, Alteration, and Demolition Operations. 2. Provide inforn�ation concerning combustible interior #inish materiaLs used for this project. Interior finish materia]s shall be classified as required by2007 MSFC Section 803 as to flame spread and smoke development characteristics. Interior wall and ceiling finish shall have a flame spread index not greater than that specified in 2007 MSFC Table 803.3 for the group of proposed occupancy and location of interior finish. Please furnish product specification sheets listing tivs information. 3. The required fire-resistance rating of rated construction shall be maintained. Openings through rated construction for the passage of wiriiig, sleeves, conduit, piping, etc. shall be protected by repair with approved materials which maintains the rating of the construction damaged, altered, breeched or penetrated. (2007 MSFC 703.1) 4. Single or multiple station smoke alartns shall be installed in dwelling units in accordance with 2007 MSFC 907.3.6. 5. If disconnection or repair of utilities in either unit is required, the work shall be performed by a certified contractor after first having obtained a permit from the Cit�s Inspection Department. 6. Construction activities shall also be compliant with Fridley City Code Chapter 220, Residential Rental Property Maintenance and Licensing Code. 7. Following completion of construction and approval of systems requ,iring Fire Department constniction permits, the Fire Maxshal will participate in a Certificate of Occupancy inspection required prior to tenant occupancy.
