The Spa/Marks: Convenience, safety
and traditional Teledyne Laars quality...
plus more of what you want in
spa heating — speed!
When you're in the mood for fun in your
spa or hot tub, why wait? When you need
to relax and jet away the tensions of the
dat chti- delay? When your friends or
, family are all set for a
- `""- free-andeasy splash
.° R`""" party, why stall around?
W ith a SpalMark spa
, heater you can be in the
water in just minutes...
hile uu're sti11 in the mood ... and
with a temperature that's exactly what
you want.
Teledyne Laars makes SpalMark spa
heaters in two efficient sizes. The 175,000
BTU SpalMark will heat up an average
00-gallon spa from 70 to 100 degrees in
just less than an hour. The 125,000 BTU
SpalMark will do it in about an hour and
10 minutes. Both are speedier, more effec-
tive and less costly than using electric or
undersized ordinary spa heaters. For
faster heating of larger spas,
rely on the big heat- _.
ing capacity of ;- '=
Teledyne Laars pool F;`y
heaters in 250,000, S w_
325,000 and 400,000
BTL' sizes.
And a SpalMark gives you more than
speed in spa heating. Besides being super
fast in bringing your water up to tem-
perature, a SpalMark incorporates all the
convenience and safety features that
make your spa a real pleasure to own.
That's because everything's a.tomatic.
For example, once you determine the
water temperature you most enjoy, just
set the exclusive Teledyne Laars Safe-T-Lok
feature ... and you've locked in the
right temperature for
every time you use _. __ . }
your spa—automatic- '
ally. But vou're not ° -
"married" to this set- '
ting. You can change it any time you
want. And a simple OnlOff switch lets you
shut the SpalMark down so just the
pilot is on.
One of the best things about the
Spa/Mark is the way it's built. Not just to
be stingy with fuel, but to maintain its
efficiency over the years—to perform with
minimum maintenance and upkeep.
Exactly what you'd expect from Teledyne
Laars, the world's largest-selling pool
heater manufacturer. And backed by a
written warranty of one year on controls,
copper tubes and firebox and five years
on all other components—with outstand-
ing service after installation. This means
competent service technicians and genu-
ine factory parts—if you ever need them.
Both SpalMark heaters include all of
the quality features detailed on the
following page—and both are available
in lo« profile and stacktop
versions for outdoor
or indoor installation.

How to select your Spa/Mark
The only significant difference between the two
SpalMark models is their size-125,000 BTUIhr.
input and 175,000 BTUItr. input.
The ]arer the size, the faster you can heat your
spa to the temperature you want, of course. But,
dependin on the speed with which you want your
spa heated, you ma} not require the larger size.
The choice is up to y-ou, and to help cou make the
right decision, check the Sizing Guide below. Based
on the Kallonage of vour spd, it tells you how man,y
minutes will be required for each 10-degree tempera-
ture rise you want for your spa. That rise will be
the difference between the initia] watei temperature
and the desired spa temperature.
Indoor or Outdoor Spa/Mark?
With a Spa(Mai-k in either size you have the options
of ordering an outdoor model in a low profile
version or with a vent cap stack, or an indoor model
with a draft hood that vents gases to the outside.
SPA/MARK SIZING GUIDE Based on the size of your spa in gallons, you can tell trom the tigures below how many
minutes will be required for each 10-degree temperaWre rise in your spa.
