parking without encraaching on the public right o�-way and als� for the
aesthetic consideration to reduce the building "line of sight"
encroac�nnent into the r�eic�bor's frorit yard.
Sectian 205.07.03, D, 3a, requires a rear yard setback of not less than
25$ of the lot depth.
Public purpose served by this requirenent is to provide rear yard sgac�e
to be used for green areas which enhance the r�eighborhood.

diose to plaoe the house in an imusual position on the lot. Rather
than glacing the house square with the street he angled it sideways.

This lot is a oorner lot and either street could be considered its
frontage because �e length of lot an each street is within 108 of each
ather. Arthur Street was selected as its frontage since the original
house met the setback requireaerit fo� frorit yard setback.
The boulevard width on Arthur Street is 16 feet, therefore, if the
garage addition is allawed the new corner of the garage would be 44

to the rear.
If the Appeals Commission approves this variance the staff has no
stipulations to suggest.
