existing structure or building9 or for any alteration or repaire to say

RE: Purchase of property from the City of Fridley
Dear Mr.8� Mrs. Yang:
You had indicated in a letter dated August 11, that you were interested in possibly
purchasing a portion of street right of way from the City, just north of 6420 Arthur Street.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the City of Fridley is not interested in
declaring the aforementioned property excess.
After a thorough review of your request by the Community Development and Public Works
Departments, it was determined that sale of this property is not desirable. While the Ciiy
has no plans to connect a street through anytime in the near future, the sale of this right of
way would eliminate all future possibilities for such a connection.
If you wish to proceed with a formal request to the City Council, the City will need to receive
the following items from you by 5PM on September 10"' for action at the September 29�'
City Council meeting.
❑ A survey and legal description of the property, signed by a licensed surveyor.
❑ Provide a guarantee of clean title, prepared by a title company.
If you wish to incur the expense of a survey and title search needed to obtain a formal
answer from the Council on the disposition of this property, the information mus�-be
received by September 10�' in order to advertise the public hearing in the newspaper.
Failure to provide the information by the date requested will indicate that you are no
longer interested in formally pursuing the purchase of this property.
