Section 2. The Snspector of Buildings shall, before iasuiag �ny persnit f�ar
the erect�ton of any,building or struceure, or for any addition ro any exist-
ing building or atrucCure, or for mny alterations or repa3rs to any e�iating
building or atcructure, upon application therefor, require the pay�a►ent b� the
appl3cant for auch permit of fees ta the �mount herein below aet forth and
in the manner here3n provided to-wit:
Z.1. l�or any such permit for the ere�tion a.f t�a�r fire-proof buildin�, othe4
than a garagei �arehouse, iactory or �rain e�evator, or for the esectfon of
any fire-proof addiCion. for similar occulpaacy, to any exiating building
shall be at tt�e rate of $�,.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fract�.oa
�hereof, in such cubical contenta.
2.2. For any such permit for the erection of any ffre-proof �arage� warehouse,
£actory or graia elevator, or for the erectibn of aay fire-proof edd�.CiQa,
for sis�ilar accupancy, to any exist3n� tiuilding aha11 be at the rate of �1.25
for euch one thousand cubic feet, clasaified as "fireproof" by Section 502 of
tt►e Minneapolia Building Coda. � - -

2.3. For any auch permit for the erectioa of any non-fireproof buildiag other
than a garage, warehousc:, factory or �rain eleva�or, or any aon-fireproo�
addition, for similar occupanc�, to any enistiag buildiag - permit $1.00 fox
each one thoueand cubic feet.

2.�5. For any such permit for the erection of any non-fireproo� garage,
w�rehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any non-fire��
�.ddit3.�s, €or saimilar oceupancy, to any esisting building or for each e+�ch
bujid3ng or additloa - ninetq cent}a ($0.90) for each oae thouaand cubic feet
or fraction thereof, ia the cubical conteats thereof with a minim� of $4.40.
For the purpose of computiag feea for building perm3,ta, the cubical contents
of.any bui�.ding or additian to a uniform height throughout by multiplying �he
ground area covered from a point six (6) inches below the flooa line of the
b�sement_or cellar to the average height of the upper surface or to the
average height of the roof eurface of �he main gable of a pftched roof.
2.5. For repairs or alterat�.ons to an existiag structure, the fee aha.11 be
at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollass ($500.00) or frsction
thereof 3n the cost of all proposed work.

SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permi�s for the
erection of any building of structure, or for any addition to any existing
building:or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any existing building
or structure, upon applic'ation therefore, require the payment by the applicant
� for such permit of fees to the amount herein belo�.� set forth and in the manner
herein provided to-wit:
Ur..iform Building Code: Type 1,2, & 4- $1.75 for each one thousand cubic feet, or
fraction thereof, in such cubical contents. Type 3& 5-$1.50 for each
one thousand cubic feet.

For the purpose of computing fees-�for building permits, the cubical contents of
any building or addition to a uniform height throughout by multipluing the ground
area covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement or
cellar to the average height of the upper surface or to the average height of the
roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof. .
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the
, rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or fract:ion thereof�
in the cost of all proposed work.
