SECTION 2. The Inapector of Buildin�s shall, befoxe isauing permits .
for the erection of any building or structure, or for any ad.dition to anyr
�xisting �truature or buildaxig9.or for any alteration or repaire to any
existing building or �tructure, upon application therefo�e, require the
gayment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein
below aet forth and in the manner herein provided to-wit:
Uniform Buildin� Codes Type 1, 2, & 4-$1075 for each one thousand
cubic feet, or fraction thereof, in euch cubical c.�ontents. Type 3& 5-
$1e50 for each one thousand cubic feeto
For the purpoae of computixrg fees for buildin� permits, the cubiaal
cz�ntenta of any �buil�ii.ng��addition to a uniform heigirt �thraughout �by '
multiplying the ground area covered from a point aix (6) inchea below
the floor line of the basement or the cellax to the average height.of
the upper aurface or to the average height of the roof surfsce of the
main gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an exis�ixig atructure, the fee ahall be
at the rate of $3.00 per each five hundred dollars (�500.00) or
fraction thereof in the cost of all proposed work.
In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in Section
2 be lese than $5.00.

HI•RATE LOW SILHOUETTE FILTER
Casccde's all new filter is designed to give the finest filtratibn at the
ideal rate of speed, witfi the longest possible life incorporated into the
unit. The 6 way valve givas you complete contro) over the filter cnd the
pool at all times. It features a heovy duty tank with a volcanit type
perforation design in a stainless stee) underdrain. With this deaign, the
media will not clog the openings with years of filtering and backwashin�.
The piping design and new valve produce the finest flow charbcteristics
by eliminating the grectest amount of friction loss to date. This is ac- .
complished by utilizing a speciclly designed overdrain that properly dif-
fuses the water so that a level media bed can be maintained at all times
in spite of the increose in speed of the water. Also, the new design eli-
minates the rigid pipe which has been�a source of rust and leakage. In
addition, it creates an eas� of servicing with regard to pumps, motors,
valves, etc. This new filter will increase the rate of filtration an a given
pool by opproximately one-third over its predecessor, and wi11 accanplish
this in less space. The unit is equipped with a replaceable sacrificial
anode incorporated to protect all metal component parts of the pool.
DESCRIPTION OF VALVE POSITIONS
FILTER AND VACUUM TO POOL —Used for BACKWASH — This position is used for backwashing
filtering and norma) vacuuming. Directs flow only. Water from the pump is directed into the boftom
from pump to top of t�k, and effluent from of the filter, and the effluent from the top of t�k to
bottom of tank to pool. waste.
CLOSE - This position shuts off the pipe line
connecting the pump and the Dial-A-Port valva.
It is used only when the strainer lid is to be
removed. This prevents water in filter tank kom
flowing out, by gravity, through open strainer,
(Note: The Dial-A-Parf valve is not designed as
a shuf-off valve and the handle should not be
turned to fhis position while the pump is'running).
DRAIN AND VACUUM TO WASTE — In this position
all water from the pump bypasses the filter tank and
goes directly to waste. Use this position when droining
or vacuuming a pool with excessive sediment.
FILTER 'PO WASTE — This position is used to rinsa
the filter bed after backwashing. Water from the pump
is directed to the top of the tank. Wcter coming from
bottom of tank is directed to waste.
AUXILIARY CIRCULATION —� Water is drown from
the main drain and bypcsses the filter, retuming to
the pool through the inlet fittings. Al�ximwa flow
is thus achieved.

addres.s. According to Section 4715.2800 of the State Plumbing Cale, a final
inspection shall be conducted on the work authorized by this permit. As of this date,
no final inspection has been called for.
The permit fee that was paid covers the inspection to make sure the work was
completed according to the Code. We will keep your permit open for another 30
days and. if we do not heax from you within this time to set up the inspection, we will
mark the permit "no inspecrion called for" and take no further action.

The Chief Building Official shall, before issuing permits for the erection of any building or
structure, or for any addition to any e�sting building or structure, or for any alteration or repair
to any existing building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in the manner herein
