MD_^'ION BY MR. WELLAN SECONDED BY MR, KONDRICK, TO RECEIVE THE SEP . 17 1985
ENVIRONEIENSAL QUALITY COMMZSSION MINUTES.
Mr. Wellan stated Ms. Merriam has been trying to contact t4r Beerman of Beerman
Services to find out how the participation rate is in th recvcling pick-uo
program.
Mr. Robinson stated they should urobably invite . Beerman to a EOC meeting
to talk about the program.
Mr. Minton stated he lived in a townhou He stated he and some of his
neighbors put out recyclables for pi -up last Month, but the recyclables were
never picked up. blhen he called . Beerman, he was told that rec.yclables
were not collected from multip units.
Mr. Wellan stated they h pretty much restricted the pick-up program to single
family residences.
Mr. Minton state hat fact had not been made clear to him, and it would be
nice if the r cling pick-up program included townhouses which were not the
sane as apa Ment buildings.
Mr. Sstated a centrally located pick-up spot at townhouse complexes would
be a ood idea.
. Wellan stated this was something that should be discussed with Mr. Beerman.

proper drainage.
BUILDING LAYOUT
Mason lines from nails on batter boards can
be stretched along each wall to outline the
overall outside dimensions of the timbers. It
is recommended,that you use 6'- 8'- 10'
method for squaring corners and that mea-
swements of diagonals always remain eqaal.
When setting in comer poles allow for 2x4
girts.

Mr. Robinson stated this prooerty was located just west of the tracks on
Ashton Ave. and north of 64th Way. It was zoned single femily and was surrounded
dy other single family. The special use permit was for a second accessory
building, 24 ft. by 32 ft., located to the rear of the lot towards the tracks.
The proposal was for 3 ft. setbacks off the rear and side lot lines which does
meet code. The petitioner is proposing to build without a verifyin surve,v
which he can do with a letter from the adjoining property owner. An agreement
fran Arnold Kastanek. the owner of the property at 6435 Ashton Ave., was
included im the agenda stating that Mr. Kastanek had no objection to the con-
struction of the utility shed.
Mr. Rinson stated staff had no stipulations other than the building was not
to be used for motor vehicles that would require a driveway as there was no
roan for a driveway.

Mr. Wellan stated Ms. Merriam has been trying to contact Mr Beerman of Beerman
Services to find out how the participation rate is in th ecvcling pick-uo
program.
Mr. Robinson stated they should probably invite . Beerman to a EOC meeting
to talk about the program.
Mr. Minton stated he lived in a townhou . He stated he and some of his
neighbors put out recyclables for pi -up last month, but the recyclables were
never picked up. Where he called , Beerman, he was totd that recyclables
were not collected from multip units.
Mr. Wellan stated they h pretty much restricted the pick-up program to single
family residences.
Mr. Minton stat hat fact had not been made clear to him and it would be
nice if the r cTing pick-up program included townhouses which were not the
 sane as apa ent buildings.
Mr. Sa stated a centrally located pick-up spot at townhouse canplexes would
be a ood idea.
. Wellan stated this tas something that should be discussed with Mr. Beerman,
