SUBJECT: Inspection Summary; 6446 Ashton Avenue N.E.
Clyde Wiley and S conducted an inspection at 11:00 a.m. on Monday,
August 24, 1992. The residence is in fair condition; however, the
roof needs repair, the windows are not large enough according to
City Code, and the well underneath the house needs to be filled
with concrete and capped. The structural vaTue for 1992 is
$32,200, which means the 50� rule would not come into play unless
about $16,000 of work is needed to be done. Clyde Wiley stated
that the improvements could be completed well within that figure.
There was no compelling reason to prohibit occupation of this
residence; it just needs to be cleaned and decorated.
The garage, however, is in substantially deteriorated condition.
The location of the foundation is in compliance with the ordinance.
The existing garage should be torn down and a new one rebuilt.
Also, a hardsurface driveway also needs to be installed'in
conjunction with the garage completion.
