Dear Ms. Rohlhase:
It was confirmed by an on-site inspection on February 27, 1985 that a
Volksw+agon, with expired Minnesota license �BGL 588, was being maintained on
the above listed property in a junked� street inoperable condition.
Chapter 123 of the Fridley City Code requires that all vehicles in the City
be currently licensed and in a street operable condition. An alternative is
to store any junked vehicles Within a building or at an approved location�
e.g, a licensed junk qard.
At this Lime, the City must require qou to remove the Junked vehicle from
this property. An alternative is to bring the property into compliance With
the City Codes by either displaying a current license on the vehicle and by
putting the vehicle in a street operable condition, or by placing any junked
vehicle Within the confines cf a building.
A reinspection Will be conducted on or about March 11� 1985 to determine

As you are aware, the City has received a petition from your neighborhood regarding the installation
of a sump pump drain line along the rear of the properties to 76th Avenue. This work is scheduled to
start sometime after September 15, 1995. As that line is being installed, it is agreed that the six
properties on the east side of Bacon Drive will then connect to that line for their sump pump discharge
system.
It has been observed by City staff and many of the neighborhood residents that you are currently
discharging your sump pump discharge into Bacon Drive. As a result, a number of your neighbors have
called and commented about the adverse impact to the neighborhood. I have attempted to explain to
them the proposed solution. While they understand, they continue to be annoyed about the period
between now and the end of September.
As a means of inediating the neighborhood and still provide a discharge for your sump pump, I request
that you cut the sump pump discharge pipe approximately 10 feet back from the curb allowi�ng the
water to run across the ground surface. Through this method, it will allow some of the water to
percolate into the soil and possibly spread and minimize any flow over the curb.
I would hope that this can be accomplished to settle the issue in your neighborhood and still allo�v us
to work with you for the final solution.

Dear Mr. Snell:
The City of Fridley has established a City Code for the purpose of promoting a pleasant and
attractive suburban environment. A recent inspe�tion of the property at 7651 Bacon Drive
N.E. revealed that not all Code requirements are presently being met. Listed below are
items which do not comply with the City Code:
• Fridley City Code requires that all vehicles must be currently licensed, street
operable, and kept on a hard surface parking area if they are stored outside. I
observed a station wagon parked improperly on the front lawn. Please place all
vehicles on the hard surface driveway.
• Please discontinue the outside storage of a large number of bicycles and
miscellaneous materials located along the garage and fence. Boats, trailers, and
stacked firewood are the only materials permitted as outside storage.
• Fridley City Code requires that all solid waste must be kept in secured containers
stored in the side yard, rear yard, or garage. I observed numerous bags of refuse in
the pick-up on the driveway. Please remove and dispose of any discarded materials
or store them in secure, screened containers.
Your prompt attention in correcting this situation would greatly assist us in helping make
Fridley a better place to live. An inspection will be conducted on or shortly after December
10, 1996, to determine compliance.
