This office thanks you for submitting as-built plans for 1611-6I.st AvenT.�ep
the same being Lot 24, Block 3, Briardale Arlditiono A check of our records
indicates that no final inspection has been agpro�red. for this building. Our
inspection report #31,790 ma.de on February 2F 1974 shaws an inspection card was.
posted sta.ting, "Occupancy not permitted until inside railing on winding staixway
approved, contact Inspection Department." We are putti.ng one of the new plans
in our files and returning the second copy �o you wi.th notations on the stairway
that explain Code requirements. We are also returning the plan you first submitted
for this lot.
We also at this time axe giving you written notice that building permit
numbers 11,950, 11,941, 11,947, 11,948, 11,943, 11,953, and 11,938 are now nu11,
and void.
(1) Permit Number 11,950: was issued for I608 Briardale Road, the same being
Lot 15, Block 3, Briardale Addi.tion. The permit was issued on Decembe� 29, ].972
and constsuction was held up by the City until January oi 1973. To date nothing
has been done that would constitute the start of construction, therebp rendering
the permit void. , ✓
(2) Permit Number 11,941: was issued fo� 618� Benjamin Street, �hre same being
Lot 17, Block 3, Briardale Addition. The permit was issued on Dece�ber 29, 1972
and construction was held up by the City until January of 1973. To date however
nothing has been done that would constitute the commencement of construction,
thereby rendering the permit void.
(3) Permit Number 11,947: was issued for 6141 Benjamin Street, the same beinq
Lot 21, Block 3, Briardale Addition. The permit was issued on December 29, 1972
and to date nothing has been done �hat would constitute the start of cons�ruction
thereby rendering the permit null and void.
i4) Permit Number 11,948: was issued for 1631 - 61si Avenue, the same being
Lot 26; Block 3, Briardale Addition, The permit was issued on December 29, 1972
and �o date nothing has been done that would constitute the start of construction
thereby rendering the permit null and void.

(5) Permit Number 11,943: was issued for 1616 Rice Creek Road, the same
being Lot 2, Block l, BriardaZe Addition. The permit was issued on December 29,
1972. Our inspection records indicate that the footings were poured on or abaut
September 21, 1973. Since more than I.20 days have elapsed since any vi.sable
construction has occurred on the home, the City has no choic.e but to declare the
permit null and void. Since this basement has been left open and canstitutes a
life hazard, you must fence the area off so that the ba.sement is inaccessible
to the public.
(6) Permit Number 11,953: �aas issued for 1613 Briardale Road, the same being
Lot 6, Block 2, Briaxdale Addition. The permit was issned on December �9, 1972.
Our inspection records indicate that the footings were poured on ar abaut August
13, 1973. Since more than 120 days have elapsed since any visible construction
has occurred on the home, the City has no choice but to declare the permit null
and void. The ba�ement on this lot must also be fenced to prevent the probability
of an unsuspecting person trom walking and falling into the basement.
(7) Permit Number 11,938: was issued for 1633 Briardale Road, the same bei,ng
Lot 8, Block 2, Briardale Addition. The permit was issued on Decembe.� 29, 1972�
Our inspection records indicate that the footings were poured on or a}�ut
August 8, 1973. Since more than 120 days have eiapsed since any visi.b.le progress
has been made on the home, the City has no choice but to declare the permit nul.l
and void. The basement on this lot must also he fenced.

I am requesting that the City of Fridley permit me to comple'.: the
construciian on the above properties based on the fac� that �they
were validly abtained in good faith and the fact that T have eommenced
construction a� all properties. I feei that to charge me an additianai
fee far building permits again on these same properties would be an
unfair and dfscriminatory practice and would not mest either the spirit

BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings shall, before issuing permits for the
erection of any building or structure, or for any addition ta any e�cisting
building or structure, or for any alteration or repairs to any e�isting
building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein pravided to-wit:
UIJIFORM BUILDING CODE: Type 1, 2& 4-$2.15 for each one thousand cubic
feet, or fraction thereof, in such cubical contents. �rpe 3& 5-$1.85 for
each one thousand cubic feet.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents'
of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area �
covered from a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the basement
or the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the average �
•height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
For rapairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the

A plumbing permit was issued on May 12, 2003 to install a furna.ce and air conditioner at
your address. The final inspection was conducted on June 11, 2003 and it was noted that
the following conections needed to be completed and a reinspection called for;
1. Size common vent to meet manufacturers specifications.
2. Provide a listed chimney cap.
We have not been contacted to reinspect the corrections. We will keep your permit open
for another 30 days and if we do not hear from you within this time to set up the
inspection, the permit will be marked "no inspection called for by homeowner after
notification" and expire the pernut.
