Mr. P�faloy said that he i��anted the variance in order to protect the ttiro trees and also if the house �+�ould have to be built further back on the lot, he tiTrould have to go in�o extensive landscaping that �drould require terracing almo�t the entire hillside. Mr. Holden explai.ned that most of the houses on the east szde of the hill had been pulled fortivard on the lots because oi the gradin� of the lots.
