Fiora,1 Pubiic Works Director DATE: August 23, 1993 SUBJECT: Storm Water Complaint ./r I understand the resident at 1650 Camelot Lane (Turgeon) has raised an issue regarding storm water runoff on the property. The properties on Camelot Lane consist of a flat portion and then a steep slope rising up and joining the property at the top of a plateau on Rice Creek Road. The plat for the Camelot property does not have a drainage easement along the rear property lines. The abutting plat on Rice Creek Road is an Auditor Subdivision and has no platting restrictions. As a result of the lay of the land, the water from the up-hill properties (Rice Creek Road) runs down the hill and onto the properties on Camelot Lane. This is a normal runoff and there is not much we can do about it. I understand that the resident is raising questions because the properties on Rice Creek Road have been leveled and split and are now ready for development. We have indicated to Ms. Turgeon that as those parcels are sold and building permits are issued, we will attempt to ensure that the front yard drainage slopes to Rice Creek Road and, thereby, reduce some of the normal runoff that woufd result on the rear of their properties.
