SECTION 2. The Inapector a£ Build3tig�s shall, before issuing anq permit for
�he erection of any building.or st�ucture, or for any addition to anp euisting �
building or �tructure, or for any a,�'�terations or repaira to any existing
building or structure, upon applicgt���a therefore, require the.•paymeat by the
applicant for such permit of fees�-�o-the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit;
2„r.l, For anq such permit for the erection of any fire-proo.f building,
other th�n a garage, warehouee, factory or grain elevator,. or for the erection
of any fire-proof additioa, for similar occupancy, to any existing building,
shall be at the rate of $1.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction
thereof, in such cubical contents.
2.2 Fos any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof �arage,
warehouse, factorp or grain elevator, or for the erection of any fire�proof
addition, for similar occupancy, to any esistin� building ahall be at the
rate of $1.25 for each one thousand cubic feet, classified as "fireproof"
by Section 5.02 of the Minneapolie Buildiag Code.

On Thursday Apri13'�, I met with Mr. John Perry at 6684 Central Avenue to discuss the concerns raised by his wife
and son at our neighborhood meeting. Mr. and N.Irs. Perry are not opposed to the cancept of the bike path, but merely
worried about its impact on their properiy. Their primary question was as to how they could access the boulevazd for
mowing if there was retaining walls across the entire front yard. The house has a"tuck-under" garage and a fenced in
back yard. Access to the drive�ra.y from either the front entrance or the back of the house is via steps and so there is
no way to get a lawn mower down. I explained where the path and walls were to be located and how the lawn could be
graded to leave a section open with no retaining walls. I will be creating a grading plan for the areas with re�taining
walls and agrced to share it with them. Once everything was shown to them so they couId envision it in front o� their
house they were satisfied and had no further reservations about the project.
