It appears as though the garage wiZl be flood proofed to an elevation of 4 feet above grade. I spoke to Ron Holden of your office who indicated the existing site elevation is approxi.m.ately 819 or 820. Since the flood protection elevation for the area is slightly under 824, the permit appears to be in com.- pliance with State flood plain managent requirements. Specific flood proofing criteria may be found in the State Building Code. At the request of Mr. Holden, I am enclosing two copies of Flood Proofing Reulations, published by the Corps of Engineers. These regulations constitute the bulk of the flood proofing requirements in the State Building Code. Sincerely, .. , , __ ° . ., Y- . y .. . - y-- ., _ 6 ` '° Steven J.
