Hau , Assistant Director Public Works June 23, 1997 Sealcoat on Clover Place ����� ��� �. �5�8 � �� r1`� � PW97-177 On Tuesday June 10, 1997 Bryan Daniels of 6568 Clover Place called to complain that the sealcoat on Clover Place was being damaged by a landscape contractor working at 6579 Clover Place. When I investigated, I found that the contractor, Mickman Bros. of Anoka, MN was using a bobcat loader to move rock and this bobcat was leaking hydraulic fluid on the road. They removed the bobcat and swept the street to clean up as best they could. The road is discolored due partially to the leaked fluid, and partially to vehicles driving in and out while the sealcoat was softened from the hot sun. On Friday June 13, Jon Thompson and I inspected the street again and talked to the men working there. They had fixed the bobcat and were finishing the job that day. As we were about to leave, Mr. Daniels came over and I got out of the car, talked with him, and gave him my card. Mr. Daniels insisted that the sealcoat be replaced immediately. I explained that there was no permanent damage, just discoloration. This was not good enough for him. . On Monday June 16, I again inspected the road with Ken Holmstrom a.nd he agreed with our previous assessment of the road. Mr. Daniels called again later that day insisting something be done immediately. He would not accept my explaination. Mr. Daniels called Friday June 20 and Monday June 23 at which time I told him to put together a petition of his neighbors asking for the road to be resealcoated. He told me that his neighbors would be calling me and that he would be going to the next council meeting to complain if something was not done by the end of the week. sue�eeT - PER O.
