SECTION 2. The Inspector of Buildings ehal.l, before isauing any permit for the
erectian o£ anq building or aCrucCure, or for any addition to any esisting build-
ing or structure, or for any alteratioas or repaire Co anq exietiag building or
etructure� ugon appiication therefore, require the paymeat by the applicaat for
such permit of fees to the amount herein below aet forth and in the.maauer �ereia_,
provided to-wit;
2.1. For aap auch permit for the erection of any fire-proof buiiding,
other than a garage, warehouae, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection
of aay fire-proof addition, for aimilar occupancy, to any existing building,
shall be at the rate o£ $1:40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction
thareof, in such cubical contents.
2,2. For anq such permit for the erection of any fire-proof garage,
Warehouse, factozy or grain elevator, or for Che erectioa of any fire-proof
addition, far similar occupancy, to any esisting building shall be at t'he rate
of $1.25 �or each one thou�and cubic feet, clasaified as "fireproaf" by
Section 502 of the Minneapolis Building Code.

additioa, for similar occupancq, to any existing building - permit $1.00 for each
one thoueaad cubic feet. .

addition� for aimilar occupancy, to any existing building or for each such
building ar addition - niaety cents ($0.90) for each one thousand cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in the cub3cal contents thereof with the minimum of $4.00.
For the purpose of computing fees for buildin� permits, the cubical coneents
of anq building or addition to a uniform height throughout by multiplying the
ground area cavered from a po3nt six (6) inches below the floor line of the
basement or cellar to the average height of the upper eur£ace or to the average
heigbt of the roof su,rface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For regairs or alterations to an ex3.sting structure, the fee eh811
be at the rate of $3.00 per each �ive Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or fract3on
thereof in the ceet of all proposed work.
