BIIILDIIVG PERMIT FEE SCHEDIILE
SECTIOIQ 2. The Inspector of Buildinga shall, before isauing any permit for
the erection of any building or structure, or for any addition to any existing
building or a�tructure, or for any alterations or repairs to aay exiseing
building or structure, upon application therefore, require the payment by the
applicant for such permit of fees to the amount herein below set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit;
2.1. For any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof building,
othei than a garage, warehouae, factory or grain elevatot, or for the erectian
of any fire-proof addition, for similar occupancy, to any esiating building,
aha11 be at the rate of $1.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction
thereaf, in such cubical contenta.
2.2 For any such permit for the erection of any fire-proof garage,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any fire�proof
addition, for similar occupancq, to any esist3ng building ahall be at the
rate of $1.25 for each one thousand cubic feet, claesitied as "fireproof"
by Section 502 of the Minneapolis Building Code.
HOIISES
2.3. For any such perm3t for.the erection of any non-firepraof
building, other than a garage, warehouse, factosy or grain elevator, or
any non-fireproof addition, for eimilar occupancy, to any existing bui�.ding -
permit $1.00 for each one thouaand cubic feet.
GARAGES
2.4. For any auch permit for the erection of aay non-fireproof garage,
warehouae, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection of any noa-fire-proof
addit�.on, for aimilar occugancy, to any esisting.buildirag os for each such
building or addition - ninety cents ($0.90) for each one thous.and cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in the cubical contents the=eof with the minimum o£ $4,00.
For Che purpose o�--comguting fees for building parmits, �he cubical contents
of any building or additioa to a uniform height throughout by muZtiplying the
ground area coverad trom a poinC six (6) inches below the floor lit�e of the
basement or cellar to the average h�ight of the upper aurface or to the average
height of the roof surface of the m�ain gable of a_pitched roof.
2`5. For repa3rs or alterations to an.existing sCrucCure, the fee shall
be at the rate of $3.00 p�r- each Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or �recLZ�n
thereof in the cost of�all proposed work.
2.6. In no case ehall the fee charged for.any permit as set forth in

ADDITIONAL INFORI�iATION
For th.e purpose of computing fees for building permits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition, is determined by multiplying the ground area
covered from a point six (6) inches Uelow the floor line of the basement
or the cellar to the average heights of the upper surface or to the average.-
height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
For repairs or alterations to an existing structure, the fee sha11 be at the
