Section 2. The Inspector of Buildin�s sha11, before issuing any permit for
�he erection of any building or etructure, or for any a�idi�ion to any egist-
ing bu3lding or;structure, or for �ny alteratious or repaira to any exist�ing
building or 9tcructure, upon application therefor, require the paymentt by the
applicant for such permit of feea to the amount herein below set forth aad
in the manner.herein provided to-wit: � `
2.1. For any such permit for �he erection of aay fire-proof building, other
than a garage' warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erecCion of
any fire-proof additfon, for sim�lar occupeacy, Co any existing building
ahall be a� the rate o£ $1.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fractioa
thereof, in such cubical contenta..
2.2. For any such permit for �the erection of �.ny fire-proof garage, wasehouse,
factory or grain elevator, or for the erectioa of any fire-proof addition,
for similar occupancy, to any existing building shail be at the rate of $1.25
for each one tkousand cubic feet, clasaiiied as °1fireproof01 by Section 502 of

2.3. For aay auch permit fo� the erection of any noa-fireproof building other
than a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or any aon-fireproof
addi�ioa, for similar occupancy, to any existing building - permit $1.00 for
each one thoueand cubic feet. :, ,

2.4. Far any such permi.t for the erecti,oa o£ any aon-fireproof garage,
warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erec�ion of any non-£ireproof
addieioa, foz similar occupancy, to aay exiat3ng building or for esch such
build�tng or addition - ninety centa ($0.90) for each one �housatcd cu'�ic feet
or fraction thereof, ia �he cubical coatents thereo£ ��ith a minime� of $4.0�.
For the purpose of compu�ing fees for building permits, the cubical contents
of aay building or addieioa to a c�niform heigh� throughout by mul�iplying the
ground area covered fram a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the
basemeat or cellar to the average heigh� of the upper aurface or to the
average height of the roof aurface of the main gab9.e of a p3tched roof.
2�5. For repairs or alterations to an exis�ing structuse, the fee shall be
at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or fr�ction
thereof 3a the cost of all proposed work.
