Seation 2. The Tnspector of Buildin�ga shall, before issuing any permit for

in� building or sCructure, or for aa�* alteratious or repaire to aay e�is�ing
building or s�ructure, upoa applicatioa therefor. reqaire the paymen� by �he
applicant £or such permit of feee to the amount herein below set forth �.nd
in the manner herein provided to-wit:
2.1. For any such permit for t&e erect3on o.f any fire-proof buildfng, othes
than a garages warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or fos the ereceion of
any fire-proof addition, for s�Lm�las occupaacy, to anq exiating building
ahall be at the rate of $1.40 for each one thousand cubic feet, or fractioa
�hereof, in such cubical contente.
2.2. For any such perm3t for the erecCion of any fire-proof �arage, warehouse,
factory or graia elevator, or for the erectioa of any fire-proo� acldition,
for similar occupanc�r, to any exiating building siaall be at the sate of $1.25
for each one thou��d cubic feet, clasaified as "fireproaf" bq Section 502 of
the N�•inneapolie Building Code.

For the purpose of cwnputing fees for building permits, the cubical conteats

basement or cellar to the average hefght of the upper surface or to the
average height of the roof surface of the main gable of a pitched roof.
2.5. For repairs or altesatioas to an eacisting etructure, the fee shall be
at the rate of $3.00.per each Five Hundred Dollara ($500,00) or frection
thereof in the cost of.all propc,sed work.

othei than a garage, warehouse, factory or �rain elevator, or for the erection
of any fire-proof addition, for s�milar occupancy, to any esisting building;°
sha11 be at the rate of $1.40 for each aae thausand cubic feet, or fraction
thereof, in such cubical conteats. .
