SEG�'i0ft_2. The Inspector bf Buildings shall, before isauing anq permit for
the erection of any building or etructure, or for any addition Co any existing
building or atructure, or for any alterationa or repairs to any esiaeing
building or atructure, upon spplication therefore, require the paymeat by the
applicant foz �uch_ permit of fees to the. amount�.taer�ine tzelow .s�t_fc�rth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit:
2.1. For aay auch permit for the erection of any fire-proof building,
othei tha a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection
of any fire-proof addition, for aimilar occupancq, to any esi�ting building,
shall be at the r�te of $1.40 for each one thrnisand cubic feet, or fraction_
thereof, in such cubical coutents.
2.2 For aay such permit for the erection of,any fire-proof garage,
warehouae, faztory or,grain.elevator, or fo��the erection of any fire•proof
addition, for similar occupancy, to any existing building shall be at the
rate of $1.25 for each oae.thousand.cubi,c �eet, classified as "fireproof"
by Section 502 of the Minneapolia Buildiag Code.

2.3. For aaq such permit for the erectian.of aay non-fireproof
building other than a garage, warehouse, factory or grain eleva.tor, or
anq non•fireproof addition, for similar occupaacy, to any existing bui�.ding -
permit $1.00 for each one thousand cubic feet. ,
GARAGES -
2.4. For any auch permit for the erection of saq non-fireproof garage,
warehouae, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection o£ any non-fire-proof
addition, for similar occupancy, to any esfsting building or for each auch
building or addition - n�nety cents ($0.90) for each one thousand cubic feet
or fraction thereof, in the cubical coa�ents thereof with the miaimum o£ $4.00.
For the purpose of computing feas for building permita,.the cubical�contents
of any.building or addition to a uaiform I�eight throughout by multiplying the
ground area covered fr� a point six (6) inches below the floor line of the
basement or cellar to the average.h2fght of the upper snrface or to the average
height of the roof surface of the maia gabie of a pitched raof.
2.5. For repaira or alterations to an,esisting sCructure, the fee s�Pil
be at the rate of $3.00 per each Five Hundred Dollara ($500.00� or fractivn
thereof ia the coat of all proposed work.

5ECTION 2. T'he Inspector of Buildings shall, b�fore issuing permits for the erection
of any building or structure, or for any addition to any existing building or structure,
or for any alteration or repairs to any existing building or structure, upon application
therefore, require the payment by the applicant for such permit of fees to the amount
herein below set forth and in the manner herein provided to-wit:
NEW CONSTRUCTION: Single Family Homes and Garages: $4.00/1,000 cubic fee�k.
PLAN CHECK: 25 percent of building permit fee.
DRIVEi�IAY DEPRESSION: (Concrete Ciirb 5treets Only)
� Alternate A: Removal and replacement of concrete curb and
gutter only; Driveway width plus 6 feet x$14.50
Alternate B: Removal and replacement of concrete curb and �
gutter and install a 3 foot wide approach with
6 inch depth; Driveway width plus 6 feet x$17.20

For the purpose of computing fees for building �rmits, the cubical contents of any
building or addition, is determi.ned by multiplying the ground area covered from a

For repairs`dr alterations to an existing structure, the fee shall be at the rate

than $7.50 plus $.50 state surcharge.

A Certificate of Survey of the lot, showing the location of the foundation once it
has been constructed will be required before proceeding with the framing.

use or occupancy of any structure for which a,building permit has been issued; and
