SECTION 2. The Inapector of Buildin�s �ha11, before issuing any permit for
the erection of any building or structt�re, or for any addition to any existing
building or etructure, or for any alterationa or repaira�to any enisting
building or etructure, upon tipplication therefpre, require the payment by the
applicant.for_such p�rmit� of fees to ths.amrntnt herein below set forth and in
the manner herein provided to-wit;
2.1. For any such per-mit for the erection of any fire•proof building,
othei Chan a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or for the erection
of any fire-proof_addition, for sim3lar occupancy, to any existing building,
ahall�be at tha rate o� $1.40 #or each one thousand cubic feet, or fraction
thereof, in such cubical contents.
2.2 For any such permit for the erection of auy f3re-proof garage,
raarehouse, factory or grain elevstor; or for the erection of any fire•proof
addition, for �imilar occupancp, to��any,.}e$iating buildiag shall be at the
rate of-$1.25 for each one Ehousand cubic ieet, clasaified ae "fireproof"
by Section 502 of the Minneapol�s Buildiag.Code. ,

2.3. For any such permit for the erection_of any non-fireproof
buildin$, other than a garage, warehouse, factory or grain elevator, or
any non-fireproof addition, for similar occupancy, to aay esisting bui�.ding -
permit $1.00 for each one thousand cubic feet.

2.4. For any such permft for the erection of aay non-fireproof garage,
warehouse, factory or graia elevator, or for t�e erection of any noa-fire-proof
addition, for simflar occupancy, to any egis'ting buiiding or for each such
building or addition - niaety centa ($0.90) for each one thous.and cubic feet
or fract3on thereof,-in the cubical contents thereof with the minimum of $4.00.
For �he pu�pose of computing fees for buildiag�pernlits, the cubical contents
of any building or addition to a uniform height throughout by.multiplying the
grouad area covered fram a��point six-(6) incl�es below the floor line of the
basement or cellar to the average.h�3ght of tha upper aurface or to the average
height of the roof suzface of the main gable of a pitched roof..
2.5. For rep.airs or alterations to an existing strucCure, the fe� shall
be at the rate of $3.00 per each Five $nndred Dollars ($500.00) ox frac�3�n
thereof in the cost of all proposed work..
2.6. In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as aet forth in
Section 2 be less than $4.00.
