OTHER CONSTRUCTION CHANGES:
1) Replacement of exterior side door. Cost is approximately
$140.00.
2) Remove unstable small awning above exterior side door.
Replace with enclosed, roofed air lock structure. Structure
to sit on existing cement landing. To be built with 2x9
construction, twelve inches on center. Siding removed to
allow airlock to be attached to existing gable stud wall
(through sheathing). Roof fastened to existing qable wall
studs by first rafter and supported by airlock walls.
Treated sole plate bolted to concrete landing Outside to be
finished with sheathing and siding. Inside to be finished
with insulation and sheetrock. Roof to be finished with tar
paper and shingles. Additional two foot eight incn exterior
door completes the air lock structure. See sketch C. Cost
is approximately 5300.00.
3) Add non-load bearing wa11 on interior s�de of kitchen.
Reason is to shrink "too-large" corridor space between
triangle work space and provide usable broom closet. Note:
old wall not to be changed. New wall to be built with 2x9
construction, sixteen inches on center. Cost is
approximately $25.00.
9) Move archway connecting kitchen and living room approximately
12-15 inches toward the exterior wall. Current double 2x4
constructed header to move with the opening. Archway is in
an non-load bearing wall. Cost is approximately $15.00.
5) Fill in door to existing broom closet near exterior door.
This space will eventually be annexed to the adjoining small
den. This eliminates a three door clutter in the small foyer
area. 2x9 construction, sixteen inches on center to be used
to fill in door space. Cost is approximately $15.00.
6) Reinsulate the two exterior kitchen walls and add vapor
barrior. Cost is approximately $30.00.
�) Install new shettrock on all kitchen walls (the two newly
insulated exterior walls, the wa11 with the moved archway,
the newly installed wall and the wall which formerly
contained a broom closet). Cost is approximately $50.00.
