Section 205.054, 2, (A,3) requi.ring 1,020 square feet in the upper
two levels of a split level design house on lots over 9,000 square
feet.
Public purpose served is to provide for adequate house size and
living area in residential buildings.
Section 205.055, 2, A, requiring a minimum of a single stall garage
on lots over 9,000 square feet.
Public pwrpose served is to provide space for automobile storage
during inclement weather as well as to house goods and materials
which would otherwise cause visual pollution.
B. STATED HARDSHIP:
If a garage Zs required on our new home, the price will be in
excess of $37,500. We �.ave applied for an MHFA Loari @6 1/2%
interest and if the total acquisition cost exceeds $37,500 the
home does not qualify for the low interest and we will not qualify
to buy it. Please see attached excerpts from the MHFA manual.
C. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REVIEW:
A survey of houses on s�imilar sized lots on East River Road shows
the following sized houses; 7155, 24' x 3G!; 7181 -24 x 28; 7201,
2A� x 32; 7215, 25 x 41, the respective floor areas are 864, 672, 768
' 1,025 square feet. (note that tfiese are original house sizes before
any additi.ons). The proposed building site is not bordered
i.tmnediately by any developed lots. The house plans not available
for review at this time.

wh�ch mont y payments have been made when due up to a periad
within 45 days of the MHFA purchase date.

Eha�:rwoman Schnabel indicated to the Appeals Commission
that she had taken the question to the Planning Commission
r^�garding the recommendation that property owners of residential
�roper�y within 2�O feet of any operation applying for beer,
u�ine ar liquor kicenses be notified of this application•
She �aid that members of the Planning Cammission had received
4�g pages of literature in r�sponse to thi� subject•
�hairwoman Schnabel indicated that at the Planning
�ommission it was decided that the entire Ordinance should
be r�e-written� Qlso she said th�t the City Attorney would
b,e looking at the problem of the notification of the property
owners and would be getting back to the Planning Commission
with his suggestions�
TFere was some dtscussion on the Lambert & Peterson prvperty regarding
���e mass confusion and possible misunders�andings, and the planned corrections °
to �he problem.ol� disseminating zoning information over the phone.
It was decided that the next Appeals Commission meeting
