We met to review the 1995 improvement project by Anoka County on East River Road from Kimball Street north to 86th Avenue. Only a handful of houses in Fridley will be affected by the improvement project; 8310 and 8340 East River Road will become nonconforming due to reduction in the front yard setbacks. Mike Kelly informed me that the County would not apply for the variances; however, they would inform the residents of the encroachments and state that they would no longer be in compliance with City requirements. It would then up to the individual owners to apply for the variances.
