�ection 2. The Ins�ctor of Build3nga shall, before issuiug any perm,it for the
ereoti.on of e,riy building or atructure, or for any addition to any existing build-
ing or structure, or for any a].tsrations or repairs to any existing bu3ldin� or
structure, upon application tharefor, require the pe�ment by the applicant for
such permit of fees to the amount herein bel.ow set forth and in the m�rtner herein
prov3ded to-wit:
2.1. For e,r�y such pera�.i.t for the erection of any fire-proof building,, other than
a�ara,ge, warehouse, factory or �a3n elevator, or for the erection of an�r fire-
proof addition, for eimilar occup�nc3r, to any existin� building shall be at the
rate of $]..40 for ea,ch one thousand cubic fe�t, or fraction_thereof, in such
culiical contents.
2.2. FQr an,y such permit for tlie erection of any fireproof garage, warehouae,
f�etory or gra3.n elevator, or for the erection of ar� firep�oof addition, for
similar occupanc�, to any e�.sting building shall be at the rate of �1.25 for
each one thousand cubic feet, classif3ed as "fireproof�t by Section 5p2 of ihe
Minneapolis Building Code.

svrface of the ma.in gable of a pitched roof.
2.5ti For repairs or alterations to an existin� structure, the fee shall be a:t the
rate of �3.0� for each Five Hundred Dollars (��00.00}, or fraction thereof iri the
c�st of a1.1 proposed wvrk.
2.6� In no case shall the fee charged for any permit as set forth in Section 2 be
less than $4.00.
